Why Barabbas?

If you look and read the story of Jesus and Barabbas on the stage you may be thinking why is this mentioned. You may be thinking Barabbas is a terrible man and that he deserved the chains, he deserved the crucifixion, and he shouldn't have been set free in the place of Jesus. I challenge you to think of Barabbas in a different light. When the town was crying for Barabbas, it wasn't the people who set him free but it was the love of a heavenly father. Jesus stood silently and let them have Barabbas so that God could treat Barabbas like Jesus and hold him in favor. The following small sermon does good at pointing out this and demonstrating how much God loved Barabbas just like He loves each and everyone of us!

Give Him your sins and walk free from bondage! Give Him thanks and praise for His love is wide and never ending!!!
